Collecting all that Baseball Memorabilia |

My grandpa could not get his hands on enough baseball memorabilia. He simply lived for it, ate it, drank it and slept with it, literally. My grandpa actually had a set of sheets, pillow cases and a bed spread of his favorite baseball team. He even had throw pillows in the shape of baseballs. I loved those as a little girl!
My grandpa would take me and my brother to baseball games whenever we visited him. These were great events where grandpa let us eat all the junk food we could inhale. My brother and I eagerly consumed hot dogs, cotton candy, peanuts and soda. We never left the stadium without some type of baseball memorabilia in hand, grandpa made sure of that.
When we got back to grandpa's house he immediately put his purchase of the day on the shelf with the rest of his baseball memorabilia. The shelf got more and more crowded as the years passed but that did not deter grandpa. He would just move things more snugly or stack them up on top of each other. Collecting baseball memorabilia was my grandpa's passion! |
