Baseball Memorabilia takes The Cake |

I am a, what you would call an obsessed fan when it comes to baseball memorabilia. I take pride in the selection that I have to show and potentially sell. I have access to information via certain contacts that I have made over the years. Baseball memorabilia and football memorabilia are my specialties. I sometimes make purchases from people that do not want to disclose their identity, and I really do not have a problem with that unless I buy some stolen goods. Which unfortunately happens. I had just received an autographed Bill Johnson baseball that is appraised at a huge figure. The lack of Bill Johnson memorabilia out there contributes to the high appraisal. I of course received this at a substantially lower price than it was worth. I thought about it for a second, and just thought the individual was low on funds and needed to pay some bills. Turns out that the baseball was stolen, or I should say reported stolen. Bill Johnsons grandson had sold it and then reported it stolen. I guess for the insurance money. He did not get any money from the insurance policy, but he did get some time from the judge.
