Lakers Oppose Will On Thunder Sporting Goods Supporters |
| 4/28/2010 1:11:03 AM |
No one in Los Angeles wants to think about the Oklahoma Thunder coming into Game 5 and picking up another win. Two was more then enough and even though broadcasters in the area assured sporting goods fans that there was nothing to worry about and Kobe would come back home to show the fans why the Lakers are a dynasty, a sense of doubt was in the air. I picked up on this because I’m a Suns fan living in Southern California. The Lakers did indeed show the critics that they were right after destroying Durant and Westbrook last night. It was a classic slap down where the Thunder could not get out of the hole they dug early on.
As the deficit increased, the Thunder played on tilt and made more and more offense mistakes. Online sporting goods stores have surely been selling more Thunder garb then normal over the past few weeks but I don’t think they have a chance anymore in this series. It was a valiant effort. Sporting goods stores come next season will see just as much Thunder memorabilia purchases as the team matures.
