baseball memorabilia  Baseball Memorabilia

When I was growing up I can remember that my grandfather would talk endlessly about baseball. I really enjoyed the sport, but he was a fanatic. His stories were truly great. Inspiring, sad, funny, and even sometimes a little scary - but they are all true. I loved going over to hear a new story about some baseball hero, game, or piece of baseball memorabilia that he would show us. I can even remember his old den. It
was wall to wall, ceiling to floor covered with pictures and cabinets of baseball memorabilia.

He had autographed pictures, baseballs, bats, uniforms, and gloves and caps. He championship banners, pieces of grandstands, and about a million signed baseball cards. He had to have been collecting this stuff all his life. My parents had packed away all his stuff in the barn, after he passed away and they took over the farm. I always wondered what happened to it. My father says it is all still up there. I guess some day soon I'm going hunting for my grandfather's baseball memorabilia. I want to pass it down to my son.
