Baseball Memorabilia Is All About Beautiful Memories |

Not too long ago a friend of mine made me see the world of baseball memorabilia in a whole different light. In the past, whenever anyone would mention baseball memorabilia, the first thing that would come to mind was a bunch people trying to make personal financial investments, but then my buddy showed me his secret baseball memorabilia stash and I was changed. As we walked into his basement I could already see some his baseball memorabilia gleaming from the light that came in through the small window on the south end. He went one by one, telling me a special family story about each and every one of his baseball memorabilia items. One story that really stuck in my mind was one he told me while showing me an old photo of an old baseball player. His grandfather many years ago had taken his father to a baseball game. In the game there was a player who everyone seemed to be cheering for and who was playing like a man possessed that day. His father had never been to a game and this was the first and most magical experience he had at that point in his life. It was also the first time that his father and grandfather had done something special together in a very long time. At the end of the game grandfather walked down the stands and fought his way through to get a picture autographed by the player. It was the same player on the baseball memorabilia photograph he showed me that day and the player’s name was none other than shoeless Joe Jackson.
Since my friend’s birthday was coming soon, I decided to make his day better by finding some special baseball memorabilia item that he didn’t have. In the picture he showed me, shoeless Joe Jackson was using an old type of glove that I noticed my buddy didn’t have in his collection. So I ran to my laptop and went to Route 66 Mega Mall located at www.route66megamall.com, which, from my experience, carries some nice sporting goods memorabilia. After a bit of searching I was very happy to find the 11 Right Hand Throw "Hoboken Collection" Baseball Mitt (H1928) which was very similar to the kind of glove Joe Jackson was using on the picture. The cool thing about this glove is that, as I read on the product features, this is the same exact style of glove that Lou Gehrig used and my friend happens to be a huge Gehrig fan. I hope he can put this glove right besides his Joe Jackson picture or a Gehrig picture and bring those memories to life a little bit more.
