World Cup Ball Handling Skills |

As I said in the previous outdoors sports post, I have been looking for soccer equipment so I can play a weekly, refereed match in a nearby park to stay active. I haven’t played soccer since a kid and can’t even remember all the positions, let alone know if I can kick a ball without using my toe. The video below is a good example of some World Cup level ball handling. Don’t think I’ll ever get to this level but learning a couple of the easier ball handling tricks is probably a good idea to be competitive. Since starting to watch soccer again and Top Ten videos like the one below, I have a new respect for the sport. The pros do things with a simple soccer ball that at first don’t make any sense.

After watching the tricks above, I cannot wait to see the World Cup. The speed some of these guys are running while faking out the opponent is nothing short of graceful. I love the pass at the 3:20 second mark. Unlike most places in the country, it is staying relatively dry here with no chance of snow so practicing moves like this may become a new weekend hobby.
