world cup, outdoors sports While not all of the clips in the spectacular soccer video below are from past World Cups, they are all of this caliber. The first clip had me wondering how long a soccer player could run down a field keeping the ball from touching the ground. I have enough trouble trying to juggle in place, I can’t imagine how much time it took that first guy to learn that kind of control. Soccer has always been a huge sport for kids to play growing up but for whatever reason it never stuck as a sport to watch. At least it didn’t for me. All of the American soccer fans are probably saying I’m wrong with that statement but compared to baseball, basketball and football, soccer in the states has less of a fan base.

After watching a World Cup caliber video like the one above, I don’t know why. The grace, power, speed and endurance these guys have rival a Olympic gymnast. I see soccer gaining a lot more American fanfare in the next few years. Video games, more broadcasting and videos like the one above are converting people to the world’s favorite sport. There are outdoors sports for everyone but not many as demanding as soccer. Soccer is becoming one of my favorite to watch. Can’t wait for the World Cup.
